To search and download Sentinel-2 images in QGIS, you must provide a bounding box of the search area. You can add the default OpenStreetMap XYZ tiles in QGIS and draw the search area on top of OpenStreetMap map.

Search and download images using QGIS Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin (SCP)

We can use SCP to search and download Sentinel-2 images.

We need to provide the search area. Let's start by adding the default OpenStreetMap XYZ tiles to QGIS to draw the search area on top of OpenStreetMap.

To draw the area, we click on the + sign of the plugin and then on the map use mouse buttons:

  • left button: to enter the upper left corner
  • right button: to enter the lower right corner
