Search and download images using QGIS Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin (SCP)
We can use SCP to search and download Sentinel-2 images.
First step is to provide your credentials:
We need to provide the search area. Let's start by adding the default OpenStreetMap XYZ tiles to QGIS to draw the search area on top of OpenStreetMap.
To draw the area, we click on the + sign of the plugin and then on the map use mouse buttons:
- left button: to enter the upper left corner
- right button: to enter the lower right corner
Add images to QGIS
Create a group:
- select all images
- group selected
We should order and group the layers to make it easier to see the study area, the satellite images and the OpenStreetMap background map. QGIS should look like this one:
